OUR LOVE STORY

Spencer and Mary originally met once in 2017. Both were in other relationships at the time and really paid no mind to one another. Fast forward 1 year where the stars aligned and it truly was perfect timing. Mary’s cousin and Spencer’s best friend in dental school, Peter Durbin, invited Mary to go to a Notre Dame vs. Michigan football game. Peter was getting a group together of current Michigan dental students as well as past Notre Dame graduates.

Mary thought to herself “Sure! Why not! I don’t have much else going on and man do I love Notre Dame!” That weekend, Peter and Mary showed up to a bar in South Bend to meet up with the rest of the group that was already there. Mary somehow managed to sit all the way inside the booth, to end up sitting right across from Spencer. The two of them made small talk while staring at each other with googly eyes.

Throughout that night Mary intently listened to conversations that were happening around them to hear if Spencer was dating anyone…and he wasn’t! Spencer also asked two of his friends to find out if Mary was single…and she was! At the end of the weekend, the two exchanged numbers and continued to talk. It was during this time apart that the spark turned into a flame. Before long they began visiting one another on weekends and the rest is history!

Is there parking at the venue?
Yes, there is lawn parking at the venue and there will be staff there to help with parking.

Is there transportation to the venue?
For those staying at The Delamar, there will be a shuttle provided to and from the venue. 
For others staying elsewhere (if you are not using your own transportation) - getting an Uber/Lyft is a hit or miss in Traverse City. There are times when they are plentiful and other times it is dead. Please plan accordingly! 

Are kids welcome?
We love your kids - we really do. But we want our wedding to be your night off! 

How do I get to Traverse City?
There is an airport right in Traverse City! Airlines that fly into TC include Delta, American, United, and Allegiant. Grand Rapids airport is about a 2.5 hour drive and Detroit’s airport is a 4 hour drive. 
Everything for the wedding will be walking distance from the hotel, except the venue which we will have transportation. The Delamar, the hotel, also provides pick up / drop off transportation for the airport.
